Zondervan Company Description

The Zondervan Corporation is a publisher of Christian content, including Bibles and inspirational books, gifts, videos, and digital products (software, e-books, music). The company publishes the New International Version of the Bible (NIV), with more than 215 million copies distributed worldwide. In addition, Zondervan has units devoted to children's products (Zonderkidz), gifts (Inspirio), and multi-lingual publishing and distribution (Vida Publishers). The company was founded in 1931 by brothers P.J. (Pat) and Bernie Zondervan. HarperCollins purchased Zondervan in 1978.
