Overview
Xata helps companies keep track of their truck fleets. The company's Web-based XataNet and Xata Turnpike applications help fleet operators automate driver logs and fuel tax reporting, manage vehicle and driver performance, track assets, and enable two-way messaging. Aimed at the for-hire segment of the transportation sector (as opposed to private fleets), its MobileMax Fleet Management System provides similar functionality. Xata markets to customers in the manufacturing, distribution, and petroleum markets, primarily in the US. More than 115,000 trucks in North America have a subscription to Xata's products. Customers have included CVS Caremark, Harley-Davidson, United Rentals, Safeway, and UPS.
