WORLD HOTELS (formerly SRS Steigenberger Reservation Service) handles reservations systems, advertising, and marketing for some 500 boutique hotels in 70 countries around the world. The company's TRUST (Transworld Reservation Utilization Service Terminal) Voyager reservation systems is connected to more than 600,000 travel agent terminals. WORLD HOTELS, which was founded in 1970, targets conference and incentive travel groups, along with business and leisure travelers. The company changed its brand from SRS-WORLDHOTELS to WORLDHOTELS in 2005 to better reflect its expansion beyond providing services to founding firm Steigenberger Hotel Group.
