Overview
Vossloh has been working on the railroad, all the live-long day, for more than a century. Founded in 1872, the company has two primary divisions: rail infrastructure (switch and fastening systems) and motive power (diesel locomotives and electrical systems for trams and trolleys). Vossloh products can be found around the globe, but Europe accounts for about 80% of sales. Vossloh Information Technologies (control systems and passenger information systems) was sold in early 2007 to Funkwerk for €8 million, leaving the Vossloh Group to focus on rail infrastructure and rail vehicle components.
