Viscofan Company Description
Viscofan helps butchers make order out of chaos, or at least sausage out of scraps. The company is one of the world's largest makers of artificial sausage casings. It has casings operations in about 15 countries in North and South America, Europe, and Asia. Viscofan sells its cellulose, collagen, and plastic casings and food film to food processors; it produces both edible small diameter and non-edible large diameter collagen and plastic casings. Its Industrias Alimentarias de Navarra (IAN) subsidiary makes canned vegetables, vegetable dishes, and sauces under the Carretilla, Alesves, Morenita, and Comaro brand names. Viscofan sells its products in more than 80 countries. The company was founded in 1975.
