Overview
Versatel doesn't care whether you say "auf wiedersehen" or "hallo." The company is one of Germany's largest providers of voice, Internet, and data services. Its residential business markets primarily broadband Internet access and DSL. Versatel offers business customers voice, broadband, and VPN (virtual private network) products and support. Versatel also provides other network operators and Internet providers with network capacity on a wholesale basis. The company's service area covers most German states. In 2011 private equity firm KKR & Co. bought a majority stake in Versatel from Apax Partners, United Internet, and Cyrte Investments.
