Overview

Valeo hopes to live up to its name, which in Latin means, "I am doing well." The company is one of Europe's largest car parts suppliers, making components for most major car and truck manufacturers. Products are organized into 10 component groups, including engine cooling (radiators, oil coolers), climate control (HVAC systems), and lighting systems (headlamps, rear and brake lights). Valeo Service distributes the company's products to the automotive aftermarket. Valeo nets about two-thirds of its sales in Europe, and is deliberately working to increase sales in developing markets, particularly Asia/Pacific. Some 120 production sites in 27 countries drive the company's operations.
