University of Oklahoma Company Description
The University of Oklahoma has a goal; to better the Sooner. Founded in 1890, the University has 19 colleges offering more than 140 bachelor's degrees, nearly 150 master's degrees, about 80 doctoral degrees, and eight graduate certificates at three campuses in Norman, Oklahoma City, and Tulsa. The Norman campus serves as home to all of the university's academic programs except health-related fields. Total student enrollment is more than 30,000 and there are about 2,000 faculty members. The University adopted the Sooner nickname in 1908, deriving the moniker from participants that went too soon in Oklahoma's 1889 Land Run.
