Located in the quintessential college town of Athens, The University of Georgia (UGA) offers a wide range of degree programs to more than 30,000 students. Nearly 80% of the university's students are from Georgia. The University of Georgia was chartered by the State of Georgia in 1785 and graduated its first class in 1804.
