University Community Health
Overview
University Community Health (UCH) wants to be the big man on campus for those seeking health care in Tampa Bay. The company is a not-for-profit network of six hospitals in Florida's Tampa Bay area. Its three general hospitals -- two located in Tampa and one in nearby Tarpon Springs -- collectively house some 720 beds and provide emergency, surgical, and acute medical care, as well as provide outpatient services. The system also includes a specialty heart hospital, a women's hospital, and a long-term acute care hospital. University Community Health's name reflects its flagship facility's proximity to the University of South Florida. The company became part of the Adventist Health System in 2010.
