United Online Company Description
United Online wants to bring people together on the Web. Created in 2001 by the merger of dial-up Internet service providers NetZero and Juno Online Services, United Online continues the free, advertising-supported service model of its predecessor companies, mainly under the NetZero, Juno, and Classmates Online brands. Users choose either free dial-up service with hourly limits and advertising, or billable service minus the ads and time restrictions. Though it mainly markets dial-up access, the company does resell third-party DSL broadband service. United Online also operates Internet community Classmates Online and floral retailer FTD Group.
