Overview
UniSea sticks mainly to one body of water when it trolls for fish. The company produces seafood products from its independent Alaskan fishermen. Unisea offers items such as cod, halibut, pollock, snow and king crab, and surimi, all of which it markets worldwide. The company owns two automated seafood plants, one located in Dutch Harbor, Alaska; the other processing facility is in Redmond, Washington, where Unisea also operates a rental cold-storage facility. UniSea also operates The Grand Aleutian Hotel and the UniSea Inn (both located in Dutch Harbor). UniSea is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Japan-based seafood giant Nippon Suisan Kaisha.
