The company makes, rents, launders, sells, and delivers industrial uniforms and protective clothing (shirts, pants, coveralls, jumpsuits, lab coats, smocks, and aprons), as well as non-garment items (such as floor mats and mops) from about 200 locations throughout North America and Europe. UniFirst also decontaminates and cleans garments that have been exposed to radioactive materials in nuclear facilities. Another segment of the company provides first-aid cabinet services and safety supplies. UniFirst manufactures about 65% of the garments it supplies, which allows for customization.
