Overview
UGI passes along gas and turns on power for the citizens of Pennsylvania. The company distributes propane and butane across the US and abroad. It also provides natural gas and electricity to customers in eastern Pennsylvania. UGI's 44%-owned propane distributor, AmeriGas Partners, makes up most of the holding company's sales and is one of the top two US propane marketers (along with Ferrellgas). Subsidiary UGI Utilities distributes electricity to more than 60,000 customers and gas to about 485,000 customers in Pennsylvania. Other UGI operations include energy marketing in the mid-Atlantic region, propane sales in Asia and Europe, electricity generation, and energy services.
