The company was formed to buy companies that produce ready-mixed concrete and related materials (bagged cement, precast cement products, building materials) and services. Ready-mixed concrete accounts for the lion's share of its sales. The company has a fleet of more than 1,400 mixer trucks and about 170 concrete, concrete block, and aggregate plants, which annually produce 7 million cubic yards of ready-mix, 3 million concrete blocks, and 4 million tons of aggregate.
