Trump Entertainment Resorts (TER, formerly Trump Hotels & Casino Resorts) owns and manages the Trump Plaza, Trump Marina, and Trump Taj Mahal casino hotels in Atlantic City, New Jersey. All total, the three properties house more than 2,800 rooms, about 300 gaming tables, and some 7,600 slot machines. The company also owns the right to use Donald Trump's name and likeness for gambling promotions. Burdened with $1.8 billion in debt, the company sunk into Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection in late 2004, emerging the following year. Chairman Donald Trump's stake in TER was reduced to about 30% following the reorganization. TER is selling Trump Marina.
