The Tongaat-Hulett Group of companies is comprised of Tongaat-Hulett Sugar, African Products, Hulett Aluminum, and Moreland. Tongaat-Hulett Sugar produces raw and refined sugar (sold under the Hulett's brand), while African Products mills corn starch and starch base products (including sorbitol and glucose) for the food manufacturing industry. The company's Hulett Aluminum business makes semi-fabricated and extruded aluminum products for the automotive and building industries. The company's Moreland unit owns 23,000 hectares of land in coastal South Africa which it is working to develop for residential, commercial, resort, and industrial use.
