It formed in 2005 through the merger of ThyssenKrupp Drauz and Nothelfer, when ThyssenKrupp sought to increase profits in its automotive unit through the merger. ThyssenKrupp Drauz Nothelfer operates 19 sites in Brazil, China, Germany, Spain, Hungary, the UK, and the US.
