Overview
TruGreen is the landscaping subsidiary of business services giant ServiceMaster. The company provides landscape design, installation, and maintenance for office and retail centers, resorts, parks, and housing developments. It offers tree care services (planting, removal, pruning, and diagnosis) and helps customers use water more efficiently through water auditing and budgeting services. It operates through TruGreen LawnCare (which serves residential customers) and TruGreen LandCare (commercial properties). TruGreen serves more than 3.4 million customers through some 100 company-owned locations in more than 40 US states and Washington, D.C. It was established in 1973 and acquired by ServiceMaster in 1990.
