Overview
A conservative public policy think tank, The Heritage Foundation offers research and advocacy on topics ranging from agriculture and labor to missile defense, religion, crime, and education. The Heritage Foundation promotes a conservative agenda based on the tenets of free enterprise, limited government, individual freedom, traditional American values, and a strong national defense. The foundation is supported mainly by individuals, as well as by other foundations and by corporations. Its donors number 410,000 and its expense budget has reached $61 million. The late beer magnate Joseph Coors provided seed money for The Heritage Foundation, which was founded in 1973.
