Overview

Nothing Darwinian about The Evolution Group -- it is a holding company for several financial services subsidiaries. Evolution Securities provides investment banking and other services for mid-market companies and institutional investors in the UK. Evolution Securities China, launched in 2003 to serve the growing Chinese market, offers UK-based trading in Chinese stocks and vice versa. Williams de Broë (formerly Christows) is a retail brokerage and fund management firm; it has about 10 funds and some £2.8 billion under management. The company in 2006 sold its 41% stake in IP Group (formerly IP2IPO), which sets up partnerships to commercialize intellectual property.
