The Brick Group Income Fund is far from just another brick in the wall. Acting as a holding company for subsidiaries The Brick Warehouse LP (The Brick) and United Furniture Warehouse, The Brick Group was founded to take Canada's biggest furniture business public. Together the subsidiaries offer furniture, mattresses, appliances, and electronics through about 210 retail furniture stores across Canada and the company's Web site, catering to low-, middle-, and high-end consumers. Other retail banners include The Brick Superstore and The Brick Mattress Store. The Brick founder Bill Comrie owns nearly 40% of the company. In 2009 The Brick Group named Bill Gregson as its president and CEO.
