Overview

The Brick Ltd. is far from just another brick in the wall. Through its operating companies The Brick Warehouse LP (dba The Brick) and United Furniture Warehouse, The Brick is a leading retailer of household furniture, mattresses, appliances, and home electronics through some 235 retail furniture stores (about 50 are franchise locations) across Canada. It also does business through thebrick.com and caters to low-, middle-, and high-end consumers. Other retail banners include The Brick Superstore, Urban Brick, and the unfortunately-named The Brick Mattress Store. Formerly The Brick Group Income Fund, it converted from an income trust to a corporation in 2010 for tax purposes.
