Tenon Company Description

Tenon has neatly dovetailed its Kiwi and American operations in the pine-products business. The company (formerly Fletcher Challenge Forests) processes Radiata pine from New Zealand and makes such products as molding and millwork, primarily for the US market. Through subsidiaries, the group supplies finished moldings and boards to such customers as The Home Depot and Lowe's; it also provides appearance-grade lumber to other molding and millwork makers. Operating units include the Empire Company, Fletcher Wood Solutions, Ornamental Mouldings, and 51%-owned SouthWest Mouldings. Rubicon Forests Limited controls more than 55% of Tenon.
