Overview
Tendring Hundred Water is all wet. The company distributes water to about 154,000 people (66,000 residences and 4,000 businesses) in the Tendring Peninsula, in northeast Essex. The company's service territory includes the towns of Brightlingsea, Clacton-on-Sea, Frinton, Harwich, Manningtree, Wivenhoe and Walton. Tendring Hundred Water is a subsidiary of French environmental services giant Veolia Environnement. The utility was founded in 1884 as the Tendring Hundred Waterworks Company. It was acquired by Générale des Eaux (now Veolia Environnement) in 1989.
