Tenaska is tenacious when it comes to producing and selling energy. The employee-owned company is a top natural gas marketer in the US (selling or managing more than 1.8 trillion cu. ft. of natural gas a year); it also trades and markets electricity (including renewable energy) and develops, owns, or operates 23 generating plants in 11 US states and an investment in Bolivia, totaling approximately 35,000 MW of capacity. It directly owns some 6,800 MW of capacity in the US. Other operations include fuel supply, biofuels development, power transmission, and gas transportation contracting.
