Overview
Telecom Italia wireline unit is Italy's #1 telephone operator with about 20 million fixed access lines in service. Broadband connections total more than 7 million. Its domestic wireless business is also the leader in Italy with about 36 million subscribers on the books. While Telecom Italia does more than two-thirds of its business domestically, Europe and Latin America are its key international markets. The company's wireline holdings provide broadband network services in France, Germany, and the Netherlands, as well as wholesale network operations in Europe and South America. Its TIM Brasil subsidiary is a leader in the Brazilian wireless market with 31 million subcsribers.
