Overview
Techcombank is taking banking to the businesses of Vietnam. The bank (also known as Vietnam Technological and Commercial Joint Stock Bank) serves primarily the country's small to medium enterprises, offering them deposit products, loans, leasing, cash management, and other services. Techcombank also serves about 100,000 individual customers (who represent more than a quarter of the bank's total loan portfolio) and to a lesser extent, government entities and large businesses. The relatively young bank (founded in 1993) has more than 70 branches throughout Vietnam. It plans to operate 200 branches countrywide by 2010.
