TBC is a big wheel in tire distribution and the Big O in tire retailing. The company, a subsidiary of Sumitomo Corporation of America (SCOA), is one of the nation's largest private-brand tire distributors, selling tires to a network of distribution centers in the US, Canada, and Mexico. Its TBC Private Brands division makes and distributes TBC's private brand tires to wholesalers. It also sells and services tires through its Big O Tires subsidiary, which operates through more than 500 Big O Tires stores, mostly franchised, in 20 US states and Canada. TBC also sells tires through its Tire Kingdom, Merchant's Tire and Auto Centers, and National Tire & Battery retail tire and auto service center operations.
