T-Mobile International Company Description
T-Mobile International was one of Europe's top mobile phone companies prior to its merger into parent company Deutsche Telekom in 2009. T-Mobile controlled the parent's global wireless operations, including T-Mobile Deutschland, T-Mobile (UK), and T-Mobile Austria. Add a "T" for transatlantic: T-Mobile also operated in the US through T-Mobile USA which accounted for the company's largest subscriber base outside of Germany. Subsidiaries in the UK and Poland rounded out the top three in terms of customers per country. All told, the company had about 120 million subscribers in 10 countries: Austria, Czech Republic, Germany, Hungary, Macedonia, Montenegro, the Netherlands, Slovakia, the UK, and the US.
