Yes, Switzerland is landlocked, but geography hasn't impeded the progress of airport services provider Swissport International. The company is one of the world's leading providers of ground handling services, which involve getting passengers and cargo on and off airplanes. It also provides fueling and aircraft maintenance services. Swissport International has operations at about 180 airports in more than 40 countries throughout the world; its customers include more than 650 airlines. Operations in Europe account for more than half of the company's sales. In 2010 Spanish construction group Ferrovial sold Swissport International to French buyout firm PAI Partners for €654 million ($914 million).
