This shuttle leaves the airport without leaving the ground. SuperShuttle International provides door-to-door airport shuttle services in some 20 US metropolitan areas, including Los Angeles, New York, and Washington, DC, with a fleet of about 1,200 blue-and-yellow vans. Customers are grouped by neighborhood through a central reservation system for the shared-ride service. The company also offers charter services for groups and provides executive sedan services through its ExecuCar subsidiary. Overall, SuperShuttle International carries about 8 million passengers a year. The company is a subsidiary of bus system operator Veolia Transportation, which in turn is part of Paris-based Veolia Environnement.
