Overview
Sundt has put its stamp on the Southwest. Through Sundt Construction and other subsidiaries, The Sundt Companies offers preconstruction, construction management, general contracting, and design/build services for commercial, government, and industrial clients. Projects include commercial buildings, military bases, light rails, airports, and schools. It builds mostly in Arizona, Nevada, California, New Mexico, and Texas. Sundt has overseen some notable projects including the development of the top-secret town of Los Alamos, New Mexico (where the first atomic bomb was built) and the relocation of the London Bridge to Arizona. The employee-owned company was founded in 1890 by Norwegian immigrant Mauritz Sundt.
