Stony Brook Company Description
Stony Brook University was established by New York State in 1957 and is one of the four university centers in the State University of New York (SUNY) system. It has an enrollment of more than 23,000 students, including some 8,000 graduate students. Stony Brook offers about 120 undergraduate majors and minors, more than 100 master's degree programs, 40 doctoral programs, and more than 30 graduate certificate programs at about a dozen colleges and schools. In addition to its main campus near Long Island Sound, Stony Brook also has an urban campus in Manhattan.
