The company, founded in 1933, offers a variety of services, including advice for IPOs and mergers and acquisitions, as well as public financing, institutional stock and bond trading, insurance brokerage and advisory services, and equity research. It also provides asset management for individual and institutional investors. Chairman, president, and CEO Warren Stephens, the nephew of founder Witt Stephens, acquired 100% of the outstanding stock of Stephens in 2006.
