Besides its budget and economy hotel segment, the company's hotel division manages its luxury hotel brands, including the five-star Baccarat Hotels and Resorts, and eco-resorts 1 Hotels and Resorts. Starwood Energy invests in power generation and renewable energy projects. Founded in 1991, Starwood has investments in the US, Europe, South America, and Asia. It has some $16 billion under management.
