SPX Company Description
SPX likes to mix things up. The company's segments include industrial products (compactors, power systems, broadcast antenna systems, and aerospace components), flow technology (pumps, valves, and other fluid handling devices), service systems (automotive diagnostic gear), and cooling technologies (cooling towers and services). Its portfolio also includes large power transformers and test instrumentation. SPX makes electrical fittings and industrial lighting products through a joint venture with Emerson Electric called EGS Electrical Group, of which it owns 44.5%. SPX gets more than half of its sales in the US.
