Overview
SpeakerCraft sets the stage for home theaters and backyard barbecues. The unit of Linear designs and supplies architectural loudspeakers and other multi-room audio systems for residential applications. Its hundreds of products include a portfolio of in-wall and in-ceiling speakers, outdoor weatherproof speakers, amplifiers, box speakers, and control systems. To cater to its customers, the firm developed pivoting speakers that remain flush with the ceiling, making speaker-placement decisions easier. Its products are sold through authorized dealers in the US and abroad. Founded in 1976, SpeakerCraft was acquired in 2003 by Linear, a subsidiary of NTK Holdings. In 2009 NTK and its units filed for Chapter 11.
