SolarWorld Company Description
Here comes the sun king, and it's using the Earth's only free and unending source of power for more than the production of sunburns. SolarWorld makes solar energy collection modules, on a scale from single residences to large-scale plants, from solar silicon. Mechanical positioning of the panels' parts prevents loss of production due to shade. Products are manufactured from raw materials through its Deutsche Solar and Deutsche Cell facilities, and are distributed worldwide. SolarWorld gets more than three-quarters of its sales in Europe, primarily in Germany. The company was founded in 1988 by engineer/CEO Frank Asbeck, who owns one-quarter of SolarWorld.
