The #1 US producer of jams, jellies, and preserves also makes dessert toppings, juices, and specialty fruit spreads under names such as Laura Scudder's and Dickinson's. In order to diversify, the company added what have become market leaders -- Jif peanut butter and Crisco oils and shortening. Smucker owns other brands as well. As the parent of International Multifoods, Smucker's roster includes baking-goods brands, including Hungry Jack, Martha White, and Pillsbury, as well as Pet evaporated milk.
