Overview
SkyTel has taken paging to the outer limits. The first company to offer nationwide numeric and text paging services in the US, SkyTel provides wireless data and messaging services, including wireless e-mail, interactive and secure two-way messaging, and wireless telemetry services. It also still provides text and numeric paging. SkyTel's FleetHawk product is a GPS-based fleet management system. The company is a division of Velocita Wireless, which purchased the company from Bell Industries in 2008.
