Sixt Company Description
Sixt is riding high as Germany's largest car rental company. The company has about 3,500 rental stations in some 90 countries, including about 550 in Germany. Worldwide, it has a rental fleet of nearly 125,000 vehicles; Germany accounts for about 49,000. Sixt also leases cars, as well as selling its older inventory; its Autoland unit is one of Germany's largest used-car dealers. The company also provides professional fleet management, and its e-Sixt business platform allows customers to reserve a car, buy a used car, or even manage an entire fleet over the Internet. Chairman Erich Sixt owns nearly 60% of the company, which his grandfather founded in 1912.
