The company (formerly called Precision Silicones ) is a custom compounder of a number of silicone products, most extensively silicone rubber. Products include orthopedic putty, industrial silicones, fluorosilicones, platinum cure silicone, spin casting materials, electrically and thermally conductive silicones, closed cell foam and sponge rubber, and silicone color master batches. Wacker SILMIX's products go to serve the aerospace, automotive, jewelry, pharmaceutical, and electrical industries. Parent company Wacker Chemie changed the unit's name in 2006.
