It provides products and services for climate control, building and energy management, fire safety, security, lighting, and facility management. The group was formed in 1998 when Siemens acquired the industrial arm of Swiss company Electrowatt, including Landis & Staefa (building automation and heating, ventilation, and air-conditioning) and Cerberus (fire detection and security systems). The businesses were integrated with Siemens' facilities management and project management units.
