Ranked as the sixth largest bank in Thailand by market capitalization, Siam City Bank is a leading provider of commercial banking and financial services in the country. Among its varied services are personal and mortgage lending, credit cards, life and casualty insurance, investment banking, and trade finance, which it delivers through some 400 branches nationwide. The bank also engages in securities handling, and treasury and international banking. Government officials and members of Thailand's royal family established Siam City Bank in 1941 and took it public in 1994. The Financial Institutions Development Fund owns approximately 47% of the bank.
