Shell Pipeline Company keeps the oil moving and the pipes pumped. The Company, a subsidiary of Shell Oil's Shell Oil Products US unit, is one of the largest petroleum products pipeline transportation companies in the US. The company has partial ownership of 10,000 miles of pipeline and annually moves more than 2 billion gallons of oil and petroleum products across 21 states. Shell Pipeline transports more than 50 different kinds of crude oil, more than 20 different grades of gasoline, including diesel fuel, jet fuel, chemicals, ethylene, and NGLs. Shell Pipeline Company manages more than 1,200 miles of offshore pipelines, 600 miles of onshore pipelines, and more than 10 terminals throughout the Gulf of Mexico.
