Overview

Shanks Group does not shirk the hard and messy work of waste collection and disposal. Europe's largest independent waste disposal enterprise, the company has a full range of waste management operations, including waste collection, transfer, and treatment; incineration; remediation services; hazardous chemicals treatment; and recycling. It operates 43 waste collection, transfer, treatment, incineration, and disposal sites in the UK, 35 in the Netherlands, 18 in Belgium, and one in Canada. Shanks has been working in partnership with local authorities throughout the UK, and has more than 40 municipal waste management contracts. It has similar contracts in Belgium and the Netherlands.
