Oklahoma City Thunder Company Description
This team is causing a big noise in Oklahoma. Professional Basketball Club owns and operates the Oklahoma City Thunder, which relocated from Seattle for the 2008 season. The relocation deal struck between team owner Clay Bennett and the city gave Seattle rights to the old SuperSonics name, history, and colors. The Seattle team had originally been started by Sam Schulman and joined the National Basketball Association in 1967. It earned one NBA title in 1979. Bennett acquired the franchise in 2006 from a group led by Starbucks founder Howard Schultz.
