As the US arm of Swiss giant Novartis' generic Sandoz International division, the firm is one of the largest generic drugmakers in the US, manufacturing more than 200 generic oral-dosage drugs. The company's product portfolio includes drugs to fight infections, cancers, respiratory ailments, cardiovascular and gastrointestinal disorders, and central nervous system diseases. Sandoz markets its products to wholesalers and retailers, as well as directly to consumers, physicians, and hospitals. Sandoz, Inc. operates two manufacturing facilities in the US.
