Samsung C&T is the trading and construction arm of the Samsung Group, the largest chaebol (business conglomerate) in South Korea. Samsung C&T has some 80 branch offices worldwide. The company's trading and investment group does business in a number of sectors, including oil and gas, electronic materials, heavy machinery, steel, and chemicals. Its construction division has helped build such notable projects as the Petronas Twin Towers in Malaysia and the Burj Tower in Dubai -- both among the world's tallest buildings. It handles civil projects, includes bridges and ports, and construction of power plants and petrochemical facilities. The group's housing development unit builds condominiums and apartments.
