Overview
Saipem doesn't mind being in deep water or in a lonely desert. The Milan-based company provides construction and drilling services to oil and gas companies worldwide. It is organized into major two business units: Engineering and Construction (which generates the bulk of its revenues), and Drilling. To help oil and gas companies with field development, the company installs fixed platforms and floating production systems. Saipem is a leader in providing engineering, procurement, project management and construction services with a bias toward large scale offshore and onshore projects. The company has three major drilling vessels, 10 offshore rigs, and a construction fleet of about 40 units.
